I attended Florida State University for my undergrad studies. While at Florida State, I majored in biology and music. I also minored in chemistry. Following my time at Florida State, I moved on to medical school and graduated in 2013. During my time as an undergrad and as a medical school student, I was a teacher's assistant for biochemistry and neurology courses. Fortunately, both neurology and biochemistry are my favorite subjects. I have tutored for a number of years. I have tutored subjects ranging from general chemistry to physiology to nutrition. As for my teaching style, I believe that the information taught should be understood to its fullest. Simply memorizing material is not an effective way of learning. When a student goes from absolutely despising a subject to absolutely loving a subject, this brings a huge smile to my face. I also believe in relating the subject to real life situations. When a student can relate to what is being taught, chances are the information will be retained much easier. While I am all about improving my students' grades and scores, I also love to develop a friendship with them. This allows me to understand my students better.
