I got my Bachelor's degree (Physics major) from Al. I. Cuza University, in Romania, followed by a Ph.D. in Physics from Northeastern University, in Boston.
Experience
I am a multi-lingual (Spanish included) physicist with a Ph.D. in Physics. I have secondary and post-secondary teaching experience in US and Europe. I teach physics at a college in Illinois. Prior, I taught Introductory Physics Laboratory at college level and advised students in individual learning sessions, while twice receiving the graduate award for Excellence in Teaching, based on students' evaluations and performance in class. Earlier in my career, I taught Physics and tutored students grades 6 – 12 in Europe for six years. On the other hand, I have been conducting original scientific research using state-of-the-art equipment and methods that I regularly publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals. My dual background - as a researcher and a teacher - puts me in the rare position of using skills required for the former, such as preparation, patience, anticipation, concision, critical thinking, ability to understand and explain every detail, to be more effective at the latter.
