EducationUniversity of Chicago - BA, Classics, Theatre
ExperienceI have a very broad education which allows me to take an open and creative approach to teaching. One of the most important skills I can teach is how to enjoy the learning process and to take pride in academic achievements. I have taught a variety of subjects and skills, both academic and recreational. I try to bring the same level of energy to every lesson, regardless of what it is. I have taught or tutored in comedy, dance, and even Emergency Medicine. I am comfortable with tutoring academic courses such as Algebra, Statistics, reading and writing skills, Literature, English, and standardized test preparation. I especially enjoy assisting with the critical reading and writing portions of the SAT. I am currently a student at the University of Chicago working on a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and Theater. While this is a Liberal Arts degree, I have taken several classes that round out my skills and knowledge base, such as math and science courses. I am proud of my writing achievements and had won several awards in writing prior to attending college. I also have earned achievements in dancing and theater work, as well as being a National Merit finalist.
